Here’s how to have great cashflow between litters, plus all your puppies sold months in advance.

Hi, Dr. Meg Howe here from Value-Added Dog Breeding. Now do you have this problem that a lot of breeders face?

It’s been a couple of months since you last sold a litter of pups and you still have a while until you have more puppies ready to sell.  Between litters that money is soon gone and in the meantime, the bills keep piling up.  So you’ve got a cash flow issue.

You don’t have any money coming in between litters. It’s really, really hard isn’t it? Your husband’s breathing down your neck, because the dogs are supposed to be paying their way.  Your breeding venture was supposed to be helping to support the family and justify the expense that you put into getting set up as a breeder, right?

When the money flow is tight, it’s easy to forget your dogs actually do bring in money sometimes.  You have to keep on forking out to feed, worm and vaccinate them. And you’re just praying that the car is not going to break down, no one’s going to get sick and the whelping that’s coming up is going to go off without a hitch, so that you won’t need the vet in to do a cesarean or something like that.

Because if any of those things happen, it’s just going to put a bad situation into an impossible situation…

What can you do about it? Let me tell you one tip on how to fix that. And that tip is to generate a waiting list of people who have put down fat deposits to buy your puppies.

You Need a Paid Waiting List of Buyers

When you’ve got a waiting list for your pups, you can be taking in $500 a pop every time someone joins your list.  And that’s really valuable cash flow.  It really helps you out.  You only need one person joining your waiting list a week to be generating an extra two thousand dollars a month, which is very handy, isn’t it?

So you might be wondering “how do I generate a waiting list?” “what do I do?”

I can tell you now that one of the key things you need is a Pricing Policy. Your Pricing Policy governs what happens if someone decides they want to leave your list and makes them feel secure.  It makes you look like a professional. So we’ll be talking about that and other things, you need to do to make that happen and make people want to join your waiting list.
